LOL! I grew up the same way...but I like to keep my knives sharpened, it does cut everything better. Be careful everytime you cut, you'll get used to it eventually.
References :
POLL: Are your kitchen knives sharp? Do you sharpen them?
Just wondering....

Maybe it's just my weirdo family but we have had the same knives for probably 20 years (longer then me and my bro have been alive) and haven't sharpened them once

And if i remember correctly my mom told me they were already used when we got them (i think they were grandmas...)

Honestly I could whack a knife at my hand as hard as i can and it wouldn't even hurt (i actually have done this....)

I would get so many cuts if they were sharp

And to tell the truth i think they work just as good as long as you put some strength into it

For a fact I am worried that when i turn 18 in a couple years and buy new knifes i'll start bleeding everywhere...

weird problem right?

I strongly believe your half shafts are in need of replacement when it does that crunch and grind when you turn to one side or the other it is usually the half shafts due to the ball bearings.I know because I am a machanic. If you hear a crunch and grind when turned to one side or the other but in your case replace both half shafts. If you don"t you will get uneven pull from one side than the other due to the half shafts worn.
References :
its not a wheel bearing problem....but....at our shop we always install calipers in pairs (left and right).....remove the rotors and have them resurfaced or buy new ones ....install a new set of pads and the replace the other side caliper......that should eliminate this issue....if u are doing this work yourself...either get some help from the forum or.e-mail me before u start for more advise on how to do this job
References :
ase master/shop owner

Easy to diagnose. Remove the wheel brake caliper and rotor and turn the wheel hub by hand. You will actually feel a dissimilar odd feeling in your fingers as you turn the hub. Move it back and forth as well as up and down also. Any unusual movement is a dead sure sign the wheel hub (front wheel drive cars ) is bad.
References :
Alignment, suspension and brake shop.

im pretty sure its not your bearings, its your brakes that make the grinding noises.

you can tell if your wheel bearings are bad when you feel the car "wobble" at certain speeds
References :
I think my wheel bearing are shot, but look at the symptons and give me your opinion please?
1.)Right wheel well grinding. Only about have the time. like half a turn grind then half a turn of the wheel no grind. pulse sounding at slow speeds.

2.)pulled left, and had to calibers installed, and now pulls right. Assume from the grind.

If it wouldn't be the wheel bearings, what else could it be? Help please. I am a chem major not a mechanic :)
Ok both calipers were replaces, and brakes were redone at Bell Tire. After talking with some co-workers some think the problem may lie with the CV joint. My pads, calipers, and rotars were already replaced. The sound was there before and after the brakes were replaced. I think that may cover all aspects.
